In Search of Sharawadgi
Piet Oudolf en LOLA Landscape Architects
The exhibition In Search of Sharawadgi showcases the ideas and dreams of Piet Oudolf and LOLA Landscape Architects. Piet and LOLA are the Netherlands’ best-known and most progressive garden designers.
The exhibition takes you on a journey and presents the transformation of public gardens and landscapes around the world – from the High Line in New York and the gardens of Hauser & Wirth in Somerset to the Star Maze in Tytsjerk and the Leisure Lane in Parkstad. You will also be introduced to Piet Oudolf and LOLA’s ultimate vision for the future: a world forest to combat global warming. A dream that can start in everyone’s garden, big or small.
A broad perspective
The exhibition will also feature works by the artists Joseph Beuys, Kie Ellens, Anne Geene, Giuseppe Licari, Geert Mul, Darcy Neven, Vijai Patchineelam & Adrijana Gvozdenovic, and Sanne Vaassen. Through both new and existing work, they offer a unique perspective on both the practice of landscape design and bigger issues such as climate change and the impact of nature on our health.
